This Sunday AHEPA will be hosting Judge Patricia Lykos, candidate for
District Attorney for Harris County at the church. Ms. Lykos will be making
brief remarks at church after liturgy and will have a reception at Parish
Home hosted by Matina Bonnen. Ms Lykos is a member of the Cathedral in
Houston and past district judge.
Coffee Hour
Coffee hour today is sponsored by Matina Bonnen, for the AHEPA reception in
honor of Judge Lykos. Please sign up for the coffee hour. Sign up sheet is
located in the Parish Home.
Need Publicity Director
We are looking for a Publicity Director for our Church. If you`re interested
please call Nadia at 281-639-2704. The job is not difficult, it will require
some people skills and computer skills. You`ll receive help and training.
Need Garage Sale Chair
We are in need of a volunteer to chair this years garage sale. If you are
interested, please contact Ann Nemphos, our Fundraising Chair, or Father
Florin. Thank you.
Nameday Glendi
Tickets for the Glendi on Saturday, Sept. 20th are now available. Tickets
may be purchased from Kika Guadiano, Ann Nemphos, or any Parish Council
Member. Lets make this another great event!
Capital Development
Participation to the brick wall fundraiser has started well and we have
already one of the cornerstones sponsored. This is great news and it shows
that our family cares a lot about upgrading our place of worship. Let's keep
the effort up. Thanks to everyone for their generosity and effort.
Stewardship
Recently St John the Theologian has been growing and planning for a new
Orthodox complex in the Bay Area...We invite you to become a part of this
exciting time in the life of our Church. Becoming a pledging member give you
the opportunity to cast your vote at the General Assembly helping to make
the decisions regarding our future new church. We're a young dynamic
community and we look forward to our future. Pledge cards are available in
the Narthex.

Food Pantry
Please don't forget to bring something to the church. Any kind of non
perishable food (peanut butter, soups, stews, vegetables), diapers, baby
formula, and toiletries are always needed. Thank you for supporting this

Prosforo Reminder
Please make sure that Prosforo is in church before the start of the service
on Sunday. Please write the date (or put a sticker with the date) on the
plastic bags with the Prosforo. That way the oldest will be used first.
