Father Gabriel Gadah was raised in Sarasota, Florida, where he attended Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served faithfully until receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1991.
Following his military service, Father Gabriel pursued his education, earning an Associate of Science degree from Manatee Community College. He continued his studies at the University of South Florida, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1996.
For the next eight years, Father Gabriel remained in the Tampa area, working in the banking, finance, and telecommunications industries. In 2003, through the encouragement of both his beloved grandmother and his fellow Navy shipmate, Father Michael Lambakis, he discerned a calling to the Holy Priesthood.
He went on to attend Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree in 2008. Upon graduation, he was assigned as a pastoral assistant at Saint John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church in Jacksonville, Florida. After a brief pause in ministry, he was assigned in 2012 to serve as pastoral assistant at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Houston, Texas.
It was at Annunciation that Father Gabriel met his beloved Presbytera, Dorian. They were married in 2014 and have since been blessed with three beautiful children: Basil, Tabitha, and Simon.
Father Gabriel served the Annunciation community for nine years, working alongside Father Michael, his former Navy shipmate—both having served together on the same ship and in the same department. During his time at the Cathedral, Father Gabriel was ordained to the Holy Diaconate in 2015 and to the Holy Priesthood in 2016. He witnessed and contributed to the vibrant life and growth of the Annunciation parish during those years.
In the summer of 2021, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver and His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta, Father Gabriel received his new assignment to Saint Mark Greek Orthodox Church, beginning August 15, 2021.
While at St. Mark, Father Gabriel was able to help grow the parish with new ministries, Church projects and newly received Orthodox Christians. The community continues to grow.
As of June 16, 2025, with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Constantine of Denver, Father Gabriel has been assigned as the priest of St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church in Webster, Texas.
Father Gabriel enjoys working with electronics and computers, working out and cherishes every moment he can spend with his family, lovingly supporting Presbytera Dorian as they raise their children together.
